I have been offered Vincent Leclavier for Joe Pavelski in a 1 year head to head league comprising of 20 teams(standard stats G, A, P +/-, PIM hits). The main reason I want to do this trade is that I have Marleau, Heatley as well in my team and so far my fantasy team has been overly reliant on SJ. My team is fairly strong on RW with heatley, havlat and pavelski and bit weak at C where I use Marleau/Pavelski because of their dual eligibility. My other centers are Steen and Flipulla.
Will Vinny bounce back from his poor start or should I hold on to Pavelski? Last edited by tinymarae; 12-27-2010 at 12:38 PM. |

I'd hang onto pavelski at this point. Vinny has had some good games recently but I think pavelski is the safer bet

Vinny is on my list of players to stay away from that includes Phaneuf, Iginla and some others. Pavelski is far better IMO.

I am a Pavelski owner and as much as I love the guy, I think this is a deal I would do. Bit of a roll of the dice but I think Lecav just has too much upside over Pavelski not to take the gamble.

I might get ripped apart for this, but I'd go with Vinny. In a keeper league, pavelski would be the clear cut favourite. however, i like the situation vinny's in (top PP with stamkos), and i think he'll do better this year. Just my personal opinion.

I'm going to have to recommend taking this deal. There is too much talent on SJ in Pavelski's way. Beyond Stamkos and St. Louis the rest of the team isn't heavily stocked on offensive talent. I'd take the risk.

No question rather have Lecavalier...guy is a serious talent...everyone has seen what he's capable of Pavelski i'm not high on as much more than a 65 point option...Lecavalier should very realistically score at 70 point pace in TB top 6 and top PP unit

I'm a Pavelski fan who has been a frustrated Vinny owner the past couple of seasons, but I'd do that trade in an instant. Little Joe's upside can't touch Vinny's.

Thanks for the input guys. I went ahead and accepted the trade. Hope Vinny comes through for me.

I watch SJ games, own both, and have not played either in a long time with Duchene, Couture, Vinny on IR, and Pav on 1PP but 3EV. I just activated Vinny and am playing him now; so Duchene and Vinny. Rumors are that he looks hungry. Pav has not. Luckily I don't have to make that choice but at this moment you made the right one.
