After winning my keeper league's inaugural championship,I've come crashing back down to earth and more than likely not making a defense of my title this year.So I have my eyes towards next season. I will need to keep 4 d-men.EJ&Bogosian are locks,might consider Coburn,if not will need 2 more. I have a chance to get Franson for Kipper. Losing Kipper isn't my dilemma,not knowing much about Franson is. Is he a guy to covet if your looking to revamp your defence core from scratch? Any info on this guy would be appreciated,thanks.

Wow, I'd think Kipper would have to be worth considerably more than that. With 11 GMs and at least 2 goalies per team (most teams probably have 3 given you have 8 bench spots, so probably about 30 goaltenders owned).

I like Franson for the future, but with only 44 d-men kept in the league total, I don't think he should be a keeper (maybe borderline keeper).

I'd try for more personally.

It's a 14 team league,so that makes 56 being kept. Not sure if that makes a difference in your view or not. Kipper doesn't matter because there are other goalie options out there to be had later towards the trade deadline. I guess I'm looking for a fantasy scouting report on Franson.

Franson would become much more valuable if he or Weber or Suter moved on.
On a lot of teams he'd be getting 1st PP time.
That said, I like him over Coburn. What else is available?

Well I have Roy and Koivu as potential keeper centers that could allow me to trade M.Richards for Karlsson and a #1 pick innext years draft. That pick could be huge because with 2 picks I could address my 2nd goalie and another skater depending on the weakest position to strengthen.
