I made a trade, and would like other people's input. I think it's a solid move. I'm competing to win now.

My LW'ers were
Ryan, Vanek, Huselius, Fleishmann, MPS

My D were
Green, Karlsson, OEL, E.Johnson

I traded Vanek and EJ for Enstrom.

I had a surplus of bodies at LW, and my D weren't doing a heck of a lot. Karlsson though is a pleasant surprise.

I think this is a solid trade for me, positionally.

Anyway, although I'm not exactly Dobber-level with my fantasy knowledge, my first thought is why wasn't Vanek enough on his own for Enstrom?

Otherwise, I don't hate the move really. It seems like an overpayment, but I'm not huge on EJ like a ton of other people around here. Maybe if he was on another team it would be different, but he's stuck on St Louis and I just don't see something major happening there.

So now you've got a really solid defense built. Which is nice. Is it a full keeper?

I think EJ hasn't and won't live up to the hype while Enstrom is going up and up... I like that you got him but think that Vanek may have been an overpayment though you could afford it. I love your new group of D though. In fact, I like your whole team.

Value between positions is sometimes hard to determine from the outside of a league. I am guessing that with 4 D per team team, 12 teams, Johnson is approaching dropable. So this is a Vanek for Enstrom deal. You get a top 5-10 D man for a top 10-20 LW. You win.
