great stuff. some real good insight on some of these players espcially horton, montador, and roy.
i know montador isnt great for fantasy aspects but he actually does get a good number of SOG and PIMs if your league counts those stats. and as you said really good +- so far this yr.

Funny how this stuff works. My initial intent with the game audits was to give you guys some better insight. Instead, I'm getting a great look into each team's current situation and analyzing players I would have never looked at before.
Cody McCormick impressed me tremendously in the game I audited back on Tuesday. His ice time was lowest out of all Sabres though, and with such, it was difficult for him to get anything going. His talent looks very raw to me too, since he shows flashes of brilliance, then makes some rookie turnovers (which let's be honest, you just can't do that at the NHL level). This next game though, McCormick picked up 14:12 of ice time (more than Luke Adam, Tyler Ennis, Nate Gerbe, and Mark Mancari) and scored 1 goal, 2 assists and was +3 with 3 shots on goal. I'd say he's officially on my radar. Whether he will be fantasy relevant or not over the course of a season is yet to be seen, but I was very surprised to see him listed at 6'3" 215 lbs. He looked tall to me, but lanky. I didn't think he was that heavy, especially since he moved pretty quick. Judging by his hockeydb numbers, it looks like he was a prolific OHL scorer/fighter (Corey Perry, Steve Downie, etc), then was rushed into the NHL where he couldn't quite get the flow of things. From 2003-04 through 2009-10, he'd been back and forth in the NHL and AHL. He finally started to figure out the pro level last year in the A, scoring 17 goals (only 12 assists) and racking up 168 PIM. While I don't think he'll score the kind of points a 1st or 2nd liner will score, he looked pretty good offensively to me, and he already has 73 PIM this year with the Sabres. If you need a depth PIM guy who might chip in some offense, keep him on your radar. Next season he might be a bit more comfortable at the NHL level and be ready to chip home 30-40+ points and 150-200 PIM. All of this of course, relies on ice time, and with Buffalo's injuries, his play could command more minutes (and development) now.
