Coming out of this years draft I thought I had what should have been one of the best defences in my league...man was I wrong!! My initial group was Doughty(keeper), Weber, Markov, Subban and Karlsson. I then grabbed Streit and stashed him and Markov on IR. I have since dropped Karlsson and Subban for Enstrom (good move) and Gonchar (ooof). I also dropped Streit and Markov, needed the room on IR. Now I have a defence that can't score and has little or no trade value.

20 something games in I think it's safe to say Weber and Doughty are a bust and Gonchar's -100 isn't worth the points he's producing. I still have hope for Doughty though. I think once Justin Williams goes down with one of his quirky injuries, Doughty becomes the man on the PP again. Other than Enstrom I can't see holding on to anyone else.

Does anyone see a big second half from any of these guys? Also Subban is still a FA due to the fact he's not playing right now.

Yea injuries haven't help at all. Not sure if they will pick it up.

I do believe that the Subban we saw late last year is still there, I would think he is burning up inside to get back at it. Not sure having him sit so much is healthy though.

LOTS OF TEAMS!

I dropped Subban in my one-year league. He's on pace for like 30 pts and I really don't see him increasing that pace. At most, I can see 40 pts, but that means he'll need 31 pts in Montreal's remaining 54 games. And that's assuming he isn't scratched for any more games. It's possible but there's other players out there who are actually playing and producing at the same clip.

In a keeper though, I'd hang onto him.
