I know Yandle's liked by a lot of people (myself included) but as I don't really get to see many west coast games I'm curious to see what people think of his play so far this year. I've got an offer on the table to receive him in a deal for Joe Pavelski, and I'd rather not pull the trigger without hearing some thoughts from those that can actually watch him in length. Upside, etc?

I'd keep Pavelski.
Yandle is pretty dynamic, and has a tone of skill, but I think the Coyotes are becoming the 2nd coming of the Predators where their offense is spread out over all 4 lines and through the top 4 D. As an owner - the frustration is that he'd post a 3 pt game playing the 1PP, then be relegated to 2PP the next game. Pavelski has a much more consistent gig as the #2 C and point-man with Boyle on the SJ PP.

If you had better depth at C then I would say sure but you need Pavelski at C for your team.

Yandle's game has really improved where his ice time has reached Lidstrom levels on occasion. The bad part for him is that the team in front of him stinks. Its really going to hurt his offensive #'s. Id say 40-45 pts limit for now.

I am a big fan of Yandle. He has a complete game, and is doing some things this year that are "elite'" in nature.
He is on pace for a career year in shots on goal - he may even break 200. Pavelski is also on a career pace for shots, but his percentage is REALLY low. To choose between him and Pavelski would really depend on your need. You are pretty light on center, so what would you be doing to fix that?

Thanks for the opinions guys, always nice to hear from people that can actually watch these guys at a normal hour. West coast games are pretty much off-limits for me most of the time, at least live.

Cheers moxon - anyone else care to chime in as I've left the guy waiting on this offer for a few days already?
Ekman-Larsson being called back up has made me seriously consider just grabbing him off the wire, saving myself the loss of Pavelski. More patience needed there though.
