Studs
Nick Backstrom - WSH The swedish star earns a spot in this category for his great fantasy night. Good looking numbers all over the board. 2 G, 1 A, +2 and 6 SOG Mason Raymond - VAN The speedy winger enjoyed a career high night for points in a game as he got a hat trick and picked up an assist as well. Not too shabby. Tim Thomas - BOS Thomas recorded his league leading 5th shutout with a stellar performance last night. Even more impressive was the fact that it was a 41 save shutout against a deep Flyers team. It seems he really misses his Vezina trophy he won a couple of years ago. Maybe he wants it back... Honorable mention George Parros - ANA First ever 2 goal game. Good for you George ! Duds Alex Ovechkin - WSH Some people would argue that why the hell this guy is on the dud list because he did get an assist last night in Washington's 4-1 win against St-Louis last night. But it's the fact Ovechkin hasn't scored a goal in 8 games, which dates back to Nov. 14th against Atlanta. He only has 10 goals in 26 games this year and is only on pace for 31. Just like most Ovechkin owners, who used their first overall pick on this guy, aren't impressed at his low goal total so far this year. Still early though... Carey Price - MTL Price made a bunch of quality saves in this match, but it's the fact that his team is up 3-1 with 10 minutes left in the 3rd period and he couldn't lock it down. This probably pissed off his fantasy owners as he should have at least picked up the win in this one. Miikka Kiprusoff - CAL He sure didn't look like the Kipper who got a shutout in his previous game against Minnesota. He goes from a shutout win, to 7 GA on 36 shots. pretty significant drop-off. Dud. Honorable mention George Parros - ANA 2 goals in a game is still pretty decent but he really should have tried harder for the hat trick. C'mon George ! |

We play 3 teams a week in our H2H and last night one owner had Parros and his 2 goals and a fight and another has Tim Jackman and his goal and a fight but Thomas helped me draw even with the one team I was losing to this week.
Man did I get ribbed by my brother when I drafted Thomas in the 12th round.

You probably weren't the only one sin bin that got laughed at, ribbed, ridiculed etc. when you selected Thomas. But everyone who did are the ones who are laughing because looks at the results he's giving everyone of his fantasy owners. Smart move picking him.
