Default Brett Clark

This guy is getting tons of ice time on the first PP with Stamkos and the gang. My question is, how come he doesn't have more points? You would think that playing with those guys he would have more than what he has.

Check his overall ice time. Most d-men who play #1 PP also log huge ice time at even strength. Until the shootout loss to Florida on Saturday, Clark had gone four consecutive games without reaching 20:00. For the season, he trails Hedman and Kubina.

Very good point but I would assume that he should continue to see an increase as Kubina is meh....and he is playing quite well.

Clark is in for a big year. At this point, he has established himself as a fixture on the top PP, and given how deadly the TB PP is, there is no reason to change things.

Or is there? I often wonder if I should sell high on him while I can. People like him are hard to figure - you never know how someone will respond to a new situation, and he looks like he has found his game under Boucher in TB. Hard to know if it will last...

IMO Clark was never really a great fantasy option for pts....He had a little stretch where he played rather well and racked, but expecting more than 30 or 35 out of him consistently is asking a bit much IMO...and at nearly half a pt per game right now, he's kind of producing at his optimal rate. I'd sell high for a consistent 0.5 ppg D man, especially if you're in a pts only. And if you're not, his +/- isn't good and PIMs or shots either.

In a heavily goal weighted, pts only league with no peripheral stats, like mine, he is a nice sleeper. He should come in around 15 goals if he can remain on the top unit. Not bad.

I would think you are VERY optimistic on that one...But I guess you never know. If Stamkos decides to stop scoring all of his team's goals and lets other people have some, maybe Clark will get there.

IMO, you're lucky to get 10G out of Clark this year. If you get more than 8 or so, bonus.

Well last year Foster managed to put up big numbers despite a lack of even strength ice time.
I think the difference between Foster and Clark's situation is that Clark is on the right side of the umbrella with St.Louis up top and Stamkos in the face-off dot to the left.
Foster on the other hand was manning the point where St.louis is now and feeding Stamkos for the one timer.
