3. Ottawa Milestones
Alex Kovelev 1000th career points - He's the third Russian to do the feat (Sergei Fedorov and Alexander Mogilny) and 76th NHLer. Alfredsson previously recorded his 1000th point with a Hatty on the same date a month ago (@ BUF - Oct. 22).
Jarkko Ruutu and Chris Neil both played their 600th game while Milan Michalek played his 400th.

2. Two shutouts all the way!
Hedberg (30 saves) & S. Mason (27 saves) -
After scoring only 3 goals in a 0-3 road trip, NJ scored 5 tonight against Holtby and the Caps on only 13 shots. Arnott, Elias and Tedenby got 2 points each. This is NJD's 2nd home win in 9 attempts this season.
As for CBJ, Nash has 13 points (10 goals) in the last 9 games - tying a franchise record for point streak.

1. Crosby vs. Stamkos
Tied for first in the league with 35 points respectively.

Stamkos, 20 goals and 15 assists.
Crosby, 15 goals and 20 assists.

Stamkos has a point in 18 of his 21 games and has 20 goals 15 assists. He's now the fasted TBL to reach 20 goals (in 21gp). On the other hand, Crosby is on a 9 game point streak and has put up 2 or more points in 8 of the last 11 outings.

Duds of the Night

3. They come in threes
CGY's Brendan Mikkelson deflected a NYR one-timer passed Kipper and put his team down 1-0. Calgary would go on to lose the game by one goal, so that's a tough break. This is the third "own goal" to appear in the Studs & Duds in as many nights.

2. Washington Thrashed!
On Bruce Boudreau's third year anniversary behind the bench, the Caps gave him a not so stellar gift; Being shut out by the NJD. In addition, WSH has been shut out twice in the last 3 games. They got Thrashed by Atlanta on Friday and again tonight by ex-ATL netminder Hedberg.

1. Low Scoring Night
No game tonight had more than 5 goals scored. It doesn't happen too often, but when it does it kinda makes me wish I put some money down as every game tonight was under the standard 5.5 bet for Proline tickets. No skater had more than 2 points tonight, so only the goalie stats got padded tonight - unless you own Holtby and Lehtonen of course.
