Studs of the Night
Honourable mention - ex-Canuck Taylor Pyatt scores two, including the game winner over Vancouver. The game was in Vancouver and he got first star of the game. He chose a great game to put up his 2nd and 3rd of the season! Honourable mention - Dubnyk stops 38 of 40 shots for his 1st win of the season (19 saves in the first period). Hemsky looked great too notching his 4th multi-point game of the season. He now has 4 points in his last two. 3. Iginla, the Lonely Flame Iggy responds to critics with a second consecutive good night: 2G, 1A, 1PPP, +2, 2PIM, 4SOG. He now has 5 goals and 6 points in his last two games, but he is still only on pace for 69 points. 2. Motor City Wheelin' Detroit extends their home record to 9-1-2, second only to Washington (10-1-1). > Zetterberg scored with 3 seconds left in the game to push Overtime. > Datsyuk - 1G, 2A, 2PPP, +1, 4SOG. Pavel (7G, 15A in 18gp) is on pace for his first 100 point season, but he's more likely to finish with 97. > Lidstrom - 1G, 2A, 2PPP, +1, 2SOG, GWG. Nik is tied for 1st among D-men (alongside Liles) with 3G and 17A, he's on pace for 91 points. > Rafalski now has 7 points in his last three games with three assists tonight. 1. Ridin' the Pavefuglien > Pavelec had a 28S, 1GA, .966% performance over NYI. His last three games: 2W, 1SO, 1.0GAA (3GA), .969SV% - not too shabby! > Byfuglien was a huge part in ATL's win with 1G, 1A and 4SOG. Byf has 7G and 12A in 21gp. The Thrasher's defenseman is on pace for 74 points. > Ladd sneaks in another 2 assists. He now has 7G and 14A for 21 points in 21 gp. Can he keep up the PPG pace? Duds of the Night 2. Perry's Empty Netter Perry doesn't have too much luck when it comes to the receiving end of EN goals, tonight wasn't any different. His pass attempt from in back of EDM's net, failed and went into his own net. 1. NYI's shipwreck Breaking News - (ok, maybe not since I've been recording it since their double digit loss) but the Isles have a new Franchise record: 13 game losing streak. Common when will the bleeding stop? Their next two games are against CBJ and NJD so it has to come to an end... right? Bonus - Gustavsson's reaction to Komisarek's terrible play from last night's game.

Thanks for the update. Spent the day watching football so it's nice to get this short update of what went on.

I noticed there's no 3rd "dud". I nominate Ryan Whitney, he played a great game and got his team leading 17th assist, but he still has 0 goals. well tonight he had the puck all alone crossing the Ducks blue-line with the goalie pulled and nothing but time to fire it in...yet he somehow managed to shoot it a foot wide.
Luckily for him Perry scored on his own net soon after.

Some nights it's challenging to get 3 duds without actually watching the games, highlights and scoresheets can only show you so much. Thanks donions! GMG

I can understand Komi's jersey confusion... but he NEVER played with Cammy at all.
Now if only Komisarek could do that to one of OUR forwards in front of the opposing net, I'd be happy. Probably the best pass he's ever made... Love Gustavsson's passion, though.
