I think Gilbert is the better keeper in this duo!

LOTS OF TEAMS!

Even though I'm a very frustrated Gilbert owner (in two leagues), I have to go with him here. In a one-year, I'd say Leopold, but in a keeper, I still like Gilbert's potential. I know he has the talent and he certainly plays for a team on the rise with lots of firepower. I have to believe he will turn it around eventually. Perhaps he won't turn it around this year (though 2 pts yesterday is something, small, to get excited about), but long-term there is reason to hope.

Leopold, on the other hand, has always had talent, but has had injury problems, has lacked consistency, and has been shipped around so much in his career that I see him as more of a short-term fix for a team (like Buffalo) in need of some offensive punch from the backend, until another more suitable replacement can be found.

I could be wrong about this. Maybe Leopold has found his long-term home and will continue to produce in Buffalo. They did sign him to a fairly hefty contract for 3 years, so there is reason to wonder. But at this point I'm still inclined to go with Gilbert.

yeah tough call here but longterm with the development of the kids in Edmonton & coming to the realization that Whitney & cement feet Foster are not the answer there is a good chance Gilbert is given more PP time.
