Do I drop Brodeur for Price and Burrows for Brassard?

I'm in a one year league, wins are 2 points, shutouts an extra one. Someone might very well grab Brodeur right away if I drop him. That's a hard move for me to make, because I drafted him high and he's been my go to 'never let me down' pick for years and years. Is this a good move? Brodeur has been a rock for so long and it's hard for me to believe he won't turn it around. NJ IS a mess, though....

I've got Lundqvist and Thomas, so I'm safely benching Brodeur at the moment.

Burrows for Brassard is a little easier to swallow, but is Burrows close to finding his game? The guy is taking plenty of shots, but he's just not producing, and Brassard has looked good for a dozen games or so.

I'd really appreciate any input or opinions you guys could offer. I'm starting to drop in the standings...

I would have made the move to Price from Brodeur about a week ago. Even if Brodeur heals up and gets back on track, the Devils are a mess. With max goalie games, I think Price fits like a glove - 3 shutouts in his last 6 games - you gotta do that.

I think in your league you don't mess around with maybe performers - ride the hot hand - Brassard is producing at the rate I hope Burrows might get to - go for that one too.

Thanks Shoeless. I've picked up Brassard, but I'm still waffling a bit on Brodeur. I should do it, but I keep thinking "it's Marty Brodeur! How can he not right the ship?!" You don't think after NJ gets healthy they could be fantastic again?

I can't believe Price is still available, but I can't imagine that'll last for long...

Grab Price now! Brodeur and the Devils are done.

Injuries and a terrible team at the moment. Price is looking great, I am surprised he is still around. I would make that move.

Burrows will get there, Brassard is there. The only down side to Brassard is his injury risk

Shoeless is right. If you can drop a struggling, showing his age, injured goalie on a team that is a mess facing the Flyers and the Pens all season for a young up and coming, 3 shut outs in 6 games goalie playing on a hot team in a weak division you do it.

Put the names away and study the stats. It isn't dropping Brodeur for Price it's dropping the weaker goalie this year for the stronger one.
