I'm really happy with my starting D at the moment, but Gilbert and McBain don't have a whole lot to offer at the moment if I need to move someone off my bench. I'm still holding out hope that McBain may show improvements as the season goes on, but Coliacavo was dropped last week, and there absolutely zero quality D out there, so I'm tempted to pick him up and stash him for some starts when he gets healthy. I know it's a bit of a high risk move, but given his production before the concussion and the fact none of these are going to be keepers for me anyway, I'd love some thoughts on this move.

This kid has huge game but he is also a huge BAB unfortunatley I think he could be a stud he could manage to stay healthy!!

He is part of the 2nd worst trade in Leafs history Steen + Coliacavo for Stepniak DAMN!!!! stupid! alomst as bad as trading Russ Courtnall for John Kordic!!

Anyways back to the topic....this is a keeper league so you have to keep McBain but Gilbert is going nowhere but down while Foster and Whitney run with the PP in EDM so why not take a chance on him and dropo Gilbert

If you can stash him on your IR, then pick Gilbert back up (or someone close to the same), then I'd do it. Otherwise I'd probably leave him alone.

i'm in the exact same position, have gilbert and carlo is available.. seems like the consensus is to grab carlo.. any more opinion would be appreciated.

Sorry dont mean to hijack the thread but OEL is also available, do you guys think he'd be a better option for the remainder of the year?
