Keeper league, assume that you would be keeping either of those guys.

Would you make a trade to get Backstrom (C - WSH) if it meant giving up Getzlaf?

I\'m competitive this year but it\'s year one, so I\'m really just trying to build the best team I can going forward into the years to come.

That is a tough one, Backstrom probably has a higher point cieling on his career, but getzlaf will be a stud in other categories. My first reaction would be to say no, because i dont really see any reason to pull the trigger. HOWEVER, Icould be of more help if I knew your League details, and roster?

Getzlaf is the go to guy on a struggling/gradually depleting Anaheim team...Backstrom is one of many go to guys on a young Washington team that can only get better...next 2 years I like Getzlaf over Backstrom...but Backstrom will gradually turn into the next Forsberg in the years to come...

i wouldn\'t part with any of those 3 guys to get Backstrom right now, even in a keeper. Getzlaf et al will help you a lot now and a bunch later too.

If I were to depart with any it would be Kopitar...IMO anyway...I guess I just like Getzlaf and Stasnys game better.
