12 team keeper leaque. Both Datsyuk and Semin are in the same round. I have Datsyuk and am considering a deal for Semin.
What is your take on both of these players?
Will the coaching change be another plus for Semin?
Should I wait a bit and see how each perform?
I hate to give up a guy like Datsyuk but do you think Semin has more upside for next year and the following years?

I think Datsyuk has a slight edge because he plays with a better team.

I\'d take the Datsyuk side also

I did this exact deal on draft day, and hoped that drafting Gomez would fill the void of Datsyuk. Gomez started slow but is picking it up so it kinda worked out for me. But keep in mind Datsyuk is 29, Semin is 23 and in many pools centres are a dime a dozen. WE up-ed our rosters to 20 adding another active C, and there are still centres out there that we can pick up.

I don\'t think it is ever a good idea to trade for an injured player. Semin needs to be clear for several games before I would ever consider doing this deal.

agreed that Semin did not play today and is day to day.
he is having some major issues with his ankel and I would not take the risk of trading away Datsyuk until Semin is back for at least a week or two and putting up points.
In terms of both players being healthy I still like Datsyuk who is playing on a line with Zetterberg and Holmstrom. If it comes to positions i would look elsewhere for a LW in return for Datsyuk. What about D.Sedin or Nash both of whom would be a better option than Semin on LW.
