After reading Dobber\'s article, I was looking at free agency and I just realized that Radulov is available, and that\'s pretty much exactly what I\'ve been looking for - a 70+ point winger to upgrade on Michalek and Doan.
Now, which one should I drop? I love Michalek playing with Thornton, but he hasn\'t really done a whole lot lately (and I have a fair number of Sharks on my roster). Doan on the other hand doesn\'t really have a whole lot of fantasy value, but he\'s probably more proven than Michalek for 60ish points. The other option is Marleau, but I think that he\'ll be more useful to me as trade bait now that he\'s starting to turn it on. So in short...Michalek or Doan, who to drop for Radulov? |

Diversify!
Dump Michalek for Radulov. Too many from one team is not so good. (This comming from someone who has 3 Red Wings...hehe...won\'t be for long though)

arghhh - tight decisions. I really like Michalek and though injured right now think he is the one to keep based on upside - but Doan is as you say likely the reliable choice.
Almost a coin flip here but I probably would dump Doan but not feeling confident I made the right call.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I think I\'m gunna go with Shoeless and drop Doan. He\'s not thought of very highly in my league so I could probably still grab him again if Michalek doesn\'t play well.
Also, Michalek is useful in that he\'s LW/RW, which gives me a few more options. And since Michalek is the one on the bench that\'s not really going to be played upside is probably more valuable than reliability. |

I know I\'m on the late freight here...but I\'d keep Doaner and drop Michalek for Radulov. Michalek had 2 goals and 1 assist in his last 10 games before he got injured. And depending if you league counts PIMs, SHP, or SOG, Doaner would likely be far more valuable. Best of luck either way...

You cant drop Captain Canada. What does Shane Doan NOT DO? He scores, takes PIMS, is NASTY on the PP, and plays almost every game for the last decade. Michalek has all kinds of talent but was going through a soft stretch EVEN BEFORE he got hurt. Trade his non-production with Rads picked-up production and all should be good.
