Last year Pominville led all rookie scorers with 5-5-10 in 18 playoff games. The year before, he was amazing with 9-10-19 in 16 games during the Calder Cup playoffs in Rochester. He\'s also the hot hand, with 25 points (11-14-25) in his last 24 games. Added to that he\'s been very good defensively, which means more ice time, and they may ease TC back into it (therefore: less). While Connolly looked good in his first couple of games back, the goal he scored was a pass to Hecht that deflected off the defenseman\'s stick. A nice move nonetheless, I only note it because the news reports simply said that \"Tim Connolly scored a goal in his first game since...\".
While their potential upsides may be similar, I think Pominville\'s by far the surer thing. Post edited by: Thieving Giraffe, at: 2007/04/11 14:47

I took Pominville, figuring Connolly will at some point this post-season be lying on the ice watching birdies and stars circling around his head...
In this new NHL age of concussion-awareness, we\'re learning that concussions lead to more concussions. In the old days, there weren\'t fewer concussions, just more players paying the price in their retirement.
