I just proposed this trade, I think it\'s fair for both sides because this guy is terrible on the wings, and I\'m looking to upgrade for another 80 point winger.

I also made a Marleau + Doan for Vanek offer in an attempt to buy low, but I\'m not very optimistic about that one.

i think doan and michalek for sedin will work.

you get the best player in the trade from d.sedin and you add to his depth with doan and michalek who are around 60-70 point players.

depending on how the other person feels about marleau, the trade for vanek has a chance because marleau is more consistent than vanek, vanek\'s only had 1 good year while marleau\'s had plenty so dont lose faith in that proposal yet but i think i\'d rather have sedin than vanek, although there is some bias in that since i\'m a nucks fan from vancouver lol but sedin is a consitent 80 point scorer.

My league really seems like they just don\'t want to trade. And it\'s not like I\'m unhappy with my team...but I want to make it better obviously. No trades have happened and every half decent proposal I put together gets turned down.

haha theres lots of people like that, and another thing i notice is people love using the O-rank to determine their trades and as good of a reference as that is, ALEXEI ZHITNIK is 55th!, so wen the guy talked about O-ranks i was just like so zhitnik is ranked 55th, y don\'t you give me kariya for him since kariyas O-rank is 96 lol

haha i think that guy\'d shut up for the rest of the season, O-rank is something yahoo uses thats supposed to help you with your drafting, i believe its based on last years stats and they use that to make this years ranking. so crosby was 1st in the O-rank then luongo or something and zhitnik had a good year while kariya not as good so thats y zhitniks O-rank is better than kariya\'s

I think his reaction is a little silly, but it does seem like a bit of a low ball offer.

I see the following problems with the offer:

1) Michalek is vastly underperforming right now, and injured (light injury or not, it\'s still an injury) and you\'re asking him to replace D.Sedin with Michalek.

2) It\'s a 2 for 1 trade, so that means he\'ll have to drop someone for it.

3) Shane Doan vs Gionta. He might not be convinced that Shane Doan is enough of an upgrade against Gionta to take the Downgrade at LW.


Based on last year\'s stats, yes it seems like a fair trade, but with the current performance of Michalek, it\'d be a tough deal to sell. If it were me, I\'d decline the trade too.
