I have Holmstrom and the owner of Eric Staal and Justin Williams is interested in trading one of them. Is either a good deal?

I would go after Staal (assuming Eric) if you need help up the middle Out of all of them, my bet is that Staal ends up with the most points and at the worst case same amount of goals.

Take either one (although I\'d lean a bit toward Staal). Holmstrom can\'t keep up this pace. His career high is 59 points, and he\'s only topped 50 points twice in his 10-year career.

Yah, I\'d trade for either of them. Holmstrom is more dependent on his linemates. I had the carolina duo (still have Williams, and traded Staal for Hossa) in my league.

Keep in mind that Chris Mason and Nikolai Khabibulin are free agents. Although with Backstrom Day-to-Day it might be wise to keep Turco. Any thoughts on this one?

Even if you have to give Turco, I would say go for it. Holmstrom is the perfect sell high guy. He won\'t keep it up while Staal is bouncing back from last year horrible season. With Lundy and Backstorm, Kolzig or Mason and Khani are decent 3rd goalies.

I had faith in Backstrom but he\'s been injured and losing road starts lately. However, it\'s not like Turco didn\'t blow a 4-0 shutout with 12 mins to go in his last start.

Will Turco have more wins/shutouts than Backstrom?

backstrom will have the better season in the end. minn is injury prone but he is a solid goalie, and they will have to trade at the deadline to get away from the injury problems. they will and should make a move to better there situation. i would do it, staal is awesome and wait did i say awesome. take staal not williams, williams is hot now but staal is proven

Holmstrom for Staal is awesome but i\'m not really liking the Turco for Kolzig aspect. Washington is the tied for the worst team in the NHL right now so I won\'t be getting many wins out of Kolzig. In the two goalie positions I will be playing Lundqvist and Backstrom (when he is healthy). I have 7 starts available for a third goalie.
