It is salary cap pool and this means he saves 90,000 in cap and in our small cap thats good.


Is that to much or to little for Perry????

Regardless of his performance, this deal includes Mason... you can't say it's just for Perry. It's the ultimate buy low on Mason.

Perry for Eriksson/Horton

Mason for Deslauriers/Caputi/Bourque

Whoever owns Perry/Mason is not getting enough in return. If I owned Perry/Mason there is no way I would do this deal, but I don't think Bourque offers any value at all.

I dunno about this one. Horton and Eriksson are very affordable and very productive players. I'd say both should be consistent 75 point threats with a good number of SOG and for Horton at least PIM. Perry is obviously a multicat demon in this pool but I'm not sure if Horton is that far off. If Perry goes for 90 and Horton for 70 consistently then this deal could be worth it but it could just as easily end up both go for 80.

The decisive factor for me really ends up being Mason. If it was just Perry you were landing then I'd argue you are probably overpaying. Getting Mason in there as well lands you a potential third star goaltender. In spite of this season's struggles I still see him shaking out as a solid tender down the line. That gives you three starters in a 14 team league, I'm certain that only a select few can boast that in your league.

If competing now is your plan then I cannot see this helping you, but this would certainly land you some star power to build around for the future.

Not really. I mean Hamill is not a tremendous prospect in my eyes. You can't really toss marginal players into the ideal to bridge the gap. Personally, I think it's a decent deal as it is but I can't see the inclusion of Hamill making the deal any more likely.

It all depends on how the other GM values prospects.. I wouldn't consider this deal. Those guys you are offering are pretty far away so they might not have as much value as you think. They're good to own and keep on your prospect team though. Deslauriers will lose the job as soon as Khabibulin comes back...

This is only an honest evaluation, but it's from someone who only plans for 2 years at a time. If you can do that deal, it is worth it for you IMO.

ALL true but really some f those prospect have to do somethng some time and well Khabby is out so long he might be ableto shine and win the starting role. BUT thats MIGHTS
