is he worth using a waiver for? its a 1 year H2H league. i plan to drop recchi for backstrom instead of enstrom or poti or green

I\'d at least wait until he gets a point, or more than 5 shots in a game somewhat consistently. My guess is that he won\'t be worth much this year unless he gets on the Ovechkin line. You listed players that you could probably improve upon with the waiver wire, but grabbing Backstrom isn\'t a good one to do it.

Fully agree, I\'d wait on backstrom as well to see if he can see a big increase in ice time or some premium time with OV.

I am onboard the Backstrom bandwagon so I say get in early and watch him develop all season. He got his first goal last night and pretty much gets better and better.


Recchi is nearly finished and Sykora is getting all of his points right now in Pittsburgh.

Id grab Backstrom for Recchi, As for waiting till he gets over 5 shots a game, Backstrom is more of a playmaker so his shots shouldnt exactly be high each game. I thinks its a risk and reward to grab Backstrom because Recchi doesnt exactly look to great this year anyways

is he worth a #6 / 12 waiver pick? or should i just wait until he clears waivers and becomes a FA?
