This proposed deal makes me REALLY nervous. Started as Heatley for Boyle+forward, and has become a potential blockbuster. The current offer stands at Malkin/Toews/Boyle for Heater plus player(s) yet to be chosen.

My team is in my sig. Malkin and Heater are virtually equal because of slight bonuses to PPG/SHG/GWG. No PIMs or +/-.

I\'m looking to decrease my load of d-men and get back a player who is at least eligible at centre. If he\'s giving up Heater, he probably won\'t give up any more RW. Some of my options on his roster are Vanek, Stastny, Datsyuk, Connolly, Wolski, Getzlaf, Kessel, Backstrom, Frolov.

I\'m tempted to throw in Rolston to make the deal Malkin/Toews/Rolston/Boyle for Heater, Kane and Datsyuk/Stastny. Thoughts on that proposal or something better if you see it?

I am going to guess that this is a keeper pool. If so then this is how I look at it:

Heatley cancels out with Malkin
Toews cancels out with Kane


So then the deal is Rolston and Boyle for Datsyuk or Stastny.

If this is a keeper pool I would try to get Stastny from him. So you are trading a much older Rolston and Boyle for a young superstar in Stastny. That in my opinion is not an entirely bad deal for you.

This is all based on this being a keeper pool of course.

Deal changes yet again. Now latest proposal is Malkin/Toews/Boyle for Heatley/Datsyuk/Carle. The d-man is now the wildcard...how does Boyle come back from injury and does the SJ offence get into gear? Comments?

Edit: can I get some quick feedback on this one? Other GM has another possible deal involving Datsyuk. I don\'t want to lose a good deal, but I\'m still sort of uneasy about it.

I would take the deal. Heatley will carry your team for many years to come, especially since the sens locked up Spezza.

Update:

Unfortunately I couldn\'t pull the trigger soon enough, and the other GM backed off because of Boyle\'s MRI results. But somehow the deal will still go, I think. It\'ll be my Malkin, Toews, Rolston & Boyle for his Heatley, Datsyuk, Kessel & Carle, which I think is an even better deal than before. He may be looking for a pick just because of Boyle\'s injury, but it\'ll get done regardless.
