I\'m in a position to win my points pool this year and am looking to bolster my top end point potential for the year without sacrificing too much of my future so I\'m offering Havlat and Hemsky for Jagr. The other GM is rebuilding. We keep any 10 players off our roster at the end of the year [our pool counts 12 F, 6 D, and 2 G at any given time].

I can likely afford to keep a total of 6 forwards into next year and Hemsky and Havlat are likely not making that list anyway. With Ruutu and Radulov starting to play better my depth scoring is still pretty solid [straight points only for forward scoring].

What do you think of the deal? What other deals would you consider offering? Havlat and [any other forward from my roster] to land Jagr...how much higher than Hemsky would you consider going?

I think that is a pretty solid offer, from a rebuilding perspective he might like the upside that Hemsky has. Getting rid of Havlat in this deal sweetens the pot for him and gets rid of a big headache on your side.

i don\'t think anyone would take that offer, Havlat is far from a sure thing - someone rebuilding might not want to take a risk of that nature.

I would still like Jagr to bolster my top end forward scoring.

If Havlat is a low-ball offer what would you offer up instead that still makes sense for me? Do I simply offer Hemsky and draft picks? Is there another player you think would make more sense to offer?

OK I just got off the phone with the other GM and he said he would go for Havlat/Hemsky for Jagr. At this point the question is YES or NO?

I think it\'s an easy YES, but am willing to listen to opinions.
