Stupid question....may not have a true answer......
im In a head to head pool.....we play only when there are eight or more games on a night....dress 3 forwards, 2 defence and a goalie.....regular point structure...1 point for goal and assist.......1 for win, 2 for shutout.... Many nights come up when deciding on who to dress....always a gamble...nothing every for sure....but anyone have any system they may use to make choosing their players easier....i take in account the basics, who they are playing, home/road game, back-to-back game....but anyone have any formula to plug in points, pp points...anything??? Thanx for your time..... |

Well it is not a stupid question - actually pretty acute.
Too my knowledge there is no system per se - other than the system you are presently applying. In the past when I had the time I would look at players situational and split stats in Yahoo to try and get a better feel for who to start. Not sure it gave me alot. I also look at a players game log to see how consistent they have been over the last several games and tend to rely on guys who are plugging along or hot - regardless if they are on the road or at home. One other factor I will take a peek at is a player\'s team record Home and Away of the last several games to get a feel for the team side. I usually check to see if there have been any recent line changes I don\'t know about as well - the guys are doing a pretty decent job of updating lines in that part of the forum. That\'s about all I can suggest Junior - kinda think you have it covered. Edit: Guess another thing is to ask who to start in the forums here to check your thoughts. Sometimes a little pearl gets dropped that can help you.

there they have a link that says who\'s hot. on there it shows about 10 forwards who are hot/cold, 10 defenceman who are hot/cold and 10 goalies who are hot/cold. sometimes i look through that to see if my undecided player is on either of the lists to decide to play him or not. so that could be a strategy to apply and go with the player whos on the hot streak. otherwise the strategy you\'ve been applying is probably the best one to go with.
