Default Trade - Kane, Shanahan for Cogliano, Guerin

Keeper league with salaries - only points counted. ($30 salary cap for 22 players, 15 active 7 farm)

I have been offered Patrick Kane ($1.15) and Brendan Shanahan ($1.90) for Andrew Cogliano ($0.85) and Bill Guerin ($0.70).

I will not keep Shanahan next year, but I think he should pick it up this year. I don\'t consider Guerin to be very valuable for next year anyways, even though he\'s cheap.

Does Kane\'s value make this trade a good one?

ps

Just for a reference point, Salaries in the league very from Crosby at $7.50 (way overpaid) and Spezza at $5.50. Salaries do go up depending on how well a player does, but you can see how valuable Kane could be if he is a 100 point scorer in 2 years at under $2.00

Wouldn\'t it just be easier to make the cap $300 then have salaries of $11 instead of $1.50? LOL

Anyway, I\'d make this trade even though you are taking on more salary. Do you have the cap space that would keep you from being cramped? Do it - I\'m a big Kane fan.

This trade shouldnt be a problem at all. Guerin is almost a nothing, nothing special. Shanahan is piling up the shots, and althoguh some peopel say they will have to start going in eventually, I\'m not positive about that. That being said though, Kane is WAY better than Cogiliano, and I would predict Shanahan to at leas tpick it up enoguh to be even with, if not surpass Guerin by the end of the year. Don\'t think anymore about this, take it now and don\'t look back.

What others said. Not close if you can afford it.
