I just offered this, will pull if it you guys think it\'s not good.
I figure LW-RW depth is more important then C, and although this leaves me weak at center, I\'ve got excellent trade bait, or can stream C a little bit. Math: Thornton 25/120 for Heately 50/100 I have been trading a lot to stack up on wings, which was a weakness. Does the above make my team better? I figure the LW-RW eligibility gives more games played, and certainly more goals and power play goals then Thornton I could then shop around Semin or even Kovalchuck for a 90-100 point center. C Thornton Stall Ribeiro Modano (just for 2 games) LW Ovechkin Semin Kovalchuck RW Ryder Lupul Zherdev D Markov Liles Murphy Ehrhoff (to drop for Green/Martin/Berard) G Emery Gerber Thomas Osgood

This will help you huge at RW, may cause a hole at C like you mentioned. If you get more points for goals in your league I would do it. It would be smart to hang on to Kovalchuk, he has looked much better since Hartley was canned. Trade Kozlov if you can.

it favors goals vs assists, it\'s G,A,PPG,PPP,GWG. Someone please clarify for me: If my league stats do indeed favor a 50/50 player vs a 25/75 player. (assuming close to same point totals on the PP, I know PP player points are favored) It leaves a hole at C, but I have a hole at RW. Doesn\'t it make more sense to plug in the hole at RW, because C points area easier to pick up or trade for? And, does the Dual Wing eligibility add value? Seems like it would to me, with 2 x LW and RW slots per night, and both Ovechkin and Semin at LW on the same team, both not playing some nights. Thank you players and pros, trade still up there.

I\'m pretty handy at trading, pretty sure can upgrade at Center by trade or smart streaming until a trade.
on FA, among others, there\'s a lot of 60 point, 2 goal plus guys Zajac Lombardi Horcoff etc... I would probably try very hard to trade a winger/Defense combo for a C/W dual guy though, like Higgins or Elias or Sykora etc...

I\'m sorry, but if this guy has a head on his shoulders, he won\'t do this trade with you.
There are WAYYY more decent centers on the waiver wire than decent wings, and he\'d be trading you the best wing (in a Plus/minus format) who plays both wing positions, for a center who will probably end the season with the same number of points/less goals? That\'s just silly of him. If I were him, and you offered me thornton for heatley straight up, I\'d laugh at you... and more often then not, I\'m a friendly guy who actually analyzes most trades (even if they are bad).

Ok, super, thanks for the input Lanky, just what I needed, and in my gut, thought.
He is very weak at center and strong at wing, in my trade to him, I pointed out the strong C benefits to him. He may not be as aware of the depth at center. It also may not be easy for him to see past Thornton\'s average start (as usual) If he\'s close, I\'ll sweeten the deal a bit. I\'ve done well on trades, all of them leaning slightly my way, this is my first time playing, and I drafted too heavily at D and C and not enough at Wing or G (didn\'t know) Quickly caught on. Traded for Osgood, Cole, Gerber, picked up Thomas, Ribs, Cory Murphy, was still weak at LW, gave up Gomez/Cole/Kovalev in a fleece job for Ovechkin/Satan/Lombardi, then Koivu/Gonchar/Satan for Brad Richards/Holmstrom/Campbell which I then traded right away for Eric Stall/Kovalchuck and change. Still a work in progress. Few trades I\'m glad buyers did not take. Offered too high for Cheechoo. Still gunning for Hejduk. Thanks for any further input guys.
