I have been talking trades for awhile and the bottom feeder in my league is looking for a goaltender. Here is the trade we have come up with so far,

HIS: Pronger and Mason
MY: Carle and Ward

Ellis is available on waivers right now and I might snatch him up just to have the starts locked up until a clear starter comes out of it, I need the help on D and Pronger is about as good as they come. Team and scoring in sig.

I think I like Carle/Ward better. Carle should still be good for 35-40 points, maybe even more but Rivet has been taking some of his PP time away. Ward should be big this year, almost 38 wins I would have to predict. Nashville is just like a rollcoaster, they win their first 2, lose like 5 straight then Ellis gets a SHO. I would try and stay away from that team.

The downgrade from Ward->Mason is much bigger than the difference between Carle and Pronger in my mind.

One thing becoming clear this year is that goalies who are not battling for the number 1 position are highly valuable. Teams who are not in turmoil over who to start in net give fantasy owners peace of mind and a good night\'s sleep.

I\'m with joos here. Don\'t give up Ward for Mason...too much. Unless you like tossing and turning at night, find another way to bolster your D.

Sorry...took a second look at your team. Why don\'t you offer Leclaire here. His value should be at an all-time high...he doesn\'t see that many shots and he\'s injury prone. At least then the other GM assumes some risk in net as well.
