Default Carey price

I know its been discussed probably a 1,000 times, but Im in my draft right now and Price is still available now in round 7. We are starting to get a small goalie run going - so I dont wanna be left out in the cold..

My question - does Carey Price rebound and become a stud goalie? Or a flop?

1 Year or Keeper?

Whats your team look like so far? Is it the one in your signature?

Off hand, I'd say Price rebounds this year. I don't think Montreal will get him a lot of wins, but his stats will be great in that defensive system.

7th round? You have to take a shot at Price.

Not too long ago he was the goalie of the future for the NHL. Montreal is anything but a powerhouse but I think Price is a talent that should not be ignored.

All this depends on your league, stats and who else is available, but it seems like a very worthwhile risk at this point in any draft.

I say GRAB HIM. Mtl will let him do what he needs to do to become the #1 for the next 20 yrs.

however if you already have 4 goalies and only play one then maybe i would say pass but even then trade value at that point in the draft might be more worth other players available,

Wow, Price available in the 7th round, I would pounce on him assuming that you don't already have 2 good goalies (and maybe even if you do, depending on other factors). I see by your signature that you kept Lehtonen, and if he's your only other goalie, I would immediately grab Price.

Mark my words, Price will win a Vezina trophy and Stanley Cup at least once in his career - of that I have little doubt, my only worry is it won't be with the Habs. Lots of Price naysayers now, they will be proven wrong in the long run.

If it's a keeper, then it's a no-brainer. If it's 1 year, then it depends on lots of other factors, but I think you can count on Price to start a heavy majority of games and to bring you stats along the lines of 30W, 2.5GAA, 0.910SV%, and 3-4 shutouts this year.

Before his injury last year, Price showed the beginning stages of what he could become. He was pretty damn unbeatable for a while. I think you need to take him and start thinking about trading Lehtonen. I dont like him, the team, the injuries....I just dont trust him, nor would I want him on my roster.

I'll echo all the other guys on this one. At this stage of the draft, I wouldn't hesistate to jump on him. With Martin as the coach, the D in front of him should only be better.

From what i hear, price loves to party and just be a kid. once he is over that he will be a stud and in the league for a very, very long time. Every part of his game is well above average especially at his age.
