It would be helpful to know your pool scoring categories and whether this is a keeper league or not.

Certainly Sakic. Otherwise your D [assuming we\'re talking about the team in your sig] could use some upgrading. See if he\'ll package a decent forward with a good D for you. It\'s hard to recommend specific names without knowing your pool parameters.

If it\'s a keeper, how about Wolski and/or Kane? You have a decent shot at performing well this year? Maybe pick up some young talent.

In contrast, I can\'t see taking Sakic with only a year or 3 left in him.

Sakic is 37 and Rolston is 34. That\'s not a big enough difference for me even if it\'s a keeper league.

Rolston is a solid and consistent 70ish point player. Sakic, even if he loses a step and some ice time to young developing stars in Colorado should still be a lock for 80+ points.

I\'m not saying don\'t look at adding a young rising NHL star to your roster. I simply consider Sakic a considerable upgrade over Rolston. Maybe a young player like Kane and a bonus D-man if the other party wants Rolston so badly.
