Well Kiprusoff didn\'t really win the shutout as much as Minnesota lost it. They had two missed shots during the shootout, and Backstrom didn\'t stop anything. Kiprusoff just had to play the angles, as he didn\'t even take a shot.

But yeah, as long as they stop all the shots they face through regulation time, both goalies get a shutout, whether they lose in overtime/shootout or not...

An OT goal counts as a legitimate goal (the scorer gets the stat, and the goalie gets a goal against), so the SO is broken in that case. Though I\'m confident you knew that and just had a brain fart/typo when posting, the correction had to be made in case any readers didn\'t know.
