I think fantasy owners tend to over-rate the lines players play on. Its playing on a good line + quality power play time that allows a player to really rack up the points.

I don\'t see Avery on the NYR power play at all (I could be wrong). For that reason, I don\'t think he could come close to hitting 70 points, as he surely won\'t get them at even strength.

Avery has been wearing out his welcome again, even in NY. While the fans may love him (or, hate him - there is no grey zone), the management are not his biggest supporters, going back to last season. I wouldn\'t be surprised to see him lose his spot on the scoring lines and revert back to his agitator checking role. And despite the fact that that\'s what he does best, credit has to be given to his scoring touch. 40 points is where I expect to see him finish, mostly due to the influx of new Ranger talent. 70 is quite an exaggeration.

70 pts is way too much for Avery. I would finish around 50 pts.
