Round7 -deciding between Kopitar and Gomez, I took Gomez. Was this a mistake? Looking for a second opinion

It may have been. Kopitar has been on fire in the European preseason games, while the Rangers are still trying to find chemistry and have bumped Gomez down to line 2.

Just my 2 cents that it will seem like a big mistake at first, but by season\'s end it won\'t be too bad with Kopitar with 70-85 points and Gomez with 70-80. But hey, I could be wrong. :whistle:

Short term this might not be a huge mistake, if Gomez can click with Jagr, which he apparently hasnt in camp though.

I however think Kopitar will be huge, already this year, and I would take him over Gomez without hesitation.

kopitar will put up as many points as gomez will from now on in, and he\'s way younger. Keeper league, you probably should have taken him... sorry bub, I feel bad for you.

Yeah, Gomez got bumped to the second line. I don\'t see the chemistry with Jagr developing. Their gameplay styles seem incompatible.

to quote myself from the pool guide:

Just because the rangers dropped a lot of money doesn\'t mean they will be an offensive powerhouse this season. With as comfortable as jagr was with nylander, they the rangers should have just paid him what he wanted instead of locking up drury with a no trade/move clause.

Thanks for the sympathy but I got a lot of steals too so I am not hurting. I agree that I made the big mistake keeper-wise but several other steals help my lineup and we only can keep 5 so by not keeping Kopitar, I am keeping someone like Lehtonen or getzlaf instead next year.
