Default Which D-man should I pick up?

Team and League Settings in Sig.... I don\'t need to drop anyone, as I have an open roster spot because of a trade.

Gilbert - Losing PP time to Grebeshkov?

Letang - On the top PP unit?

Whitney - ?

Suter - ?

All types of help would be appreciated B)

Thanks

Out of those guys, I definitely like Letang. He is getting some quality minutes out there on the PP right now, and my guess is after next year, Gonchar will be Gone and Letang and Goli will run the show in Pittsburgh with Orpik anchoring the defensive side.

I like Letang for this year, and the potential upside for down the road.

Good luck!

Gilbert short term and long term.

Hemsky to Gilbert... Gilbert to Souray... PP Goal! all day long with Visnovsky out.

Grebeshkov is coming off high ankle sprain and just dont see him stealing Gilberts spot.

I too like Letang as your pool gives extra credit for goals and he seems to have a penchant for tucking them away.

I think Gilbert is the safest pick though. True, he\'s already lost his spot on the top PP unit in EDM to Grebeshkov, but I think this works in his favor. I watched a couple of games when Grebeshkov was out and noticed that everything on that #1 PP unit revolves around Souray and Hemsky. If Gilbert had the puck he would pass it and the other 4 players ignored him after that. In fact, on several occasions he\'d be the only guy wide open at the point and Hemsky would try to feed a pass through 2 defenders to try to find Souray. If he did pass it to a wide open Gilbert it looked like Gilbert knew if he shot the puck instead of Souray he\'d hear about it when he got back to the bench so he\'d just look to pass it again...and he\'d turn it over.

Gilbert runs the #2 PP though and he looks more confident to pass or shoot there. He also posts great even strength numbers so he ranks up there with Letang for choices here.

Either way.

Great call on Gilbert on the #1 powerplay, I thought i noticed the same thing but thought I was exaggerating it because I owned him haha +1

So its still kind of a toss up between Letang and Gilbert
