i see exactly what you have done, by calculating the $ v. points. this has been somewhat problematic an issue for me so far, as the group dynamic also needs to be accounted for in this style of draft. oftentimes, being the emcee, i do not have a ton of time to stare at my picklist,as i\'m pretty damned busy (for the first couple rounds, anyway). times are that i can choose my next pick 6 picks in advance and my player will be available when the time comes; other times i\'ve been screwed at the last moment, and have to draft from the top of my head. it is easy to guage how some participants will draft, with others it is more difficult. after the first 2 rounds i usually am pretty comfortable with planning ahead for my next pick, based on my impressions of the other gms. as far as the money issue goes, i wonder what the point is of not blowing M$6-7 on a superstar? it has really bothered me to not have a top-ten producer, even though i\'ve had moderate success by being somewhat frugal for the opening rounds. some seasons, i think, it will be easier to find a 2 million dollar gem, other seasons there simply won\'t be any (or very few). the gap between 3rd line scorer salary, and 1st line scorer salary is getting wider all the time.

also, i believe i\'m set at 5.5 million as my ceiling. perhaps if i get fortunate, i may be able to scrimp enough to grab 2 of these. of course crosby, ovechkin, and malkin must go 1-2-3, but after that i\'m liking heatley and savard. position in the order will also play an important role on how things unfold, for the first couple rounds, anyway.
