If your league counts PIMs I would say that is not a viable opening offer. If your league doesn\'t count PIMs then it\'s a decent opening offer but not enought to get Whitney from a smart GM.

Given the number of centres available of Richards calibre and the number of D guys available of Whitney\'s calibre - I can\'t see how anyone would bite on this - but it isn\'t insulting.

Hello Fighting emu \'et al\'

I like Richards a lot but Whitney, as a defenceman, I like more. It would take more than Richards to get Whitney. It isn\'t that your offer is insulting, it is just going to be very difficult for you, or likely anyone, to get Whitney.
