Two things cross my mind Duke - you are jerking us around or you have little experience evaluating fantasy hockey values. This would go down as one of the worst trades in your history as a GM if you make it. I don\'t mean to insult at all - but this would be really bad.
Add on: A few principles at play here, Duke 1. quantity never compensates for quality 2. off balanced trades always have another (or 2) player involved - the one you have to drop to accept this trade or the player he gets to pick up with a vacant roster spot = I always want to be on the side giving the additional player(s) if I can. 3. whoever gets the best player usually wins a trade - Ovechkin is so far ahead of any of the guys you are getting - a guy like Ovechkin almost can\'t be traded simply because no one can give you enough value to compensate - there are a few players in the league like that - the elite - he is one of them. While unlikely, it is not impossible that he could win the Rocket Richard award by more than 5 goals this year. Dont ever trade with the person giving you this proposition, he\'s trying to run you over, or he does not know better himself and then you definitely should trade with him.

Just to fully understand how one sided this deal is, let\'s just compare Dobber\'s total player ratings for each side of the deal.
You\'d be giving: Ovechkin = 324.3 Frolov = 79.5 Total = 403.8 You\'d be getting back: Kozlov = 47.0 Whitney = 54.8 Sykora = 70.8 Total = 172.6 If we compare the two totals we see that you\'d be give 2.33 times what you\'d be getting back. So a big no way!!! Although this isn\'t always the final word, I find it to be a good quick way to see if a trade is close. Finnally, there is the most important rule about trading, which is that in most cases who ever gets the best player wins the deal. And here you\'d be giving the top two players!? Hope this helps, Sly Post edited by: Sly1, at: 2007/09/17 13:45

Your team, at a quick glance, looks like it could probably compete to win this year. I don\'t think you win this trade at all...even in a one year league. It\'s closer but you still lose.
