How long would you wait to grab a dmen?
My upcoming picks are 27-28-45-46 in a 9 team league (see this threed for more details on my league: http://www.dobberhockey.com/componen.../limitstart,0/)
Do you think it\'s risky to wait until pick 45 to grab a dmen? Or can it be a good strategy to lock up two dmen with pick 27 and 28? Thanks! Post edited by: Chicleteur, at: 2007/09/12 15:26

I can see taking one D guy with one of the next picks but not 2. You will by-pass some good stuff to do so I think

I know and that\'s why I\'ll probably taking only one dmen. However, I talked with the guy picking before and after me and he thought about doing the same (picking 2 dmen). Do you think we can manipulate the draft by doing so and start a dmen wave?

I suppose it could happen - guys watch a bunch of top D guys go in short order there could be a panic reaction. I also wonder if it could backfire on you - when you are looking for good forwards later they may be looking for 2nd tier D guys, I think they win
