Default Backstrom or Toews

I have the first overall pick this year and these two are available. We start 2C, 2LW, 2RW, 4D, 2G. 12-team H2H keeper league. Here are categories:
G,A,P,ppg,ppa,ppp,+/-,pims,shp,sog,fow,gwg
w,gaa,save%,ga,saves,so

Yahoo has Toews(108) ranked lower than Backstrom (117), Any reason for this? I was pretty sure I was gonna take Backstrom 1st overall but should I reconsider this? Am I overlooking anyone else?

You\'re not going to go wrong with either player, but Backstrom still has the higher upside even after Toews strong showing recently. Yahoo is basically giving their best guess as to projections so it\'s not surprising that they have Toews higher.

Go with backstrom.

He has the higher upside and is more of a pure point producer than toews. Toews will be an amazing player in the nhl (think Yzerman) because of his skill and intellegence on both ends of the ice, but from a fantasy standpoint, Backstrom will be more valuable because of his skill in the offensive end.

100% agree with lanky. Backstrom has higher fantasy value, and Toews will be a great NHL player with his 2-way abilities. I give Backstrom til next year before he\'s playing alongside Ovechkin and then the sky\'s the limit.
