IMO, his upside for career will be similar to what crosby got this year. hes a 120 point scorer at best, 150 seems way too generous. hes good, but thats unbelievable. could be wrong, but 150s a long way away for malkin and its probaby unreachable.

I think 150 points is within reach for his career. Look at his numbers in The RSL, and then compare them to Ovechkins numbers. Malkin is every bit as talented, if not moreso talented then ovechkin. IMO Malkin will be the second best player in the league for many years, 2nd only to crosby, and with both these guys on the same team, 150 can be reached by malkin.

issue is hes second line until he can play LW as effectively as he plays center. no second liner can get 150 points. imagine the offer sheets for him when hes a RFA! going to be ridiculous. questionable if pittsburgh can keep him. if penner got 4.25 malkin could get 8 easily. think pittsburgh will match? 18 million to crosby and malkin? nah.

140-150 will probably mean that Crosby is sitting at 175 points though, so we\'re talking a bit shift in the points that players are getting in the league.
