Finalized the rules for a new Dynasty League and wanted some feedback from guys in similar leagues:

* 12 owners
* 20 man active roster (12 F, 6 D, 2 G)
* 10 bench spots for owners to add FA\'s during the year
* Points based scoring (G,A,+/-, PIM, W, SO, ect)
* Rookie Draft (4 rounds). Can keep player for 3 years in minors before having to sign. If unsigned after 3 will become UFA
* Signed rookies become RFA after their deal is up, with a RFA draft every year (owner can match offer made by other owner)
* Initial Auction draft to build team (all players UFA except rookies)
* Cap of $440 this year, $503 next (same as NHL from previous yr)
* Cap hit of 50% if player is dropped during the year, 33% in the offseason
* Sign players to 1,2 or 3 year contracts, but there is a cap of 60 years in contracts for your 30 man roster
* Weekly FA bidding with top bidding owner given the player
* Trades can include players, picks, or minor league players
* Playoff pool with teams identifying 15 skaters for their Playoff roster.

I like the RFA idea. In an auction style, it would really add a bit of strategy given that a top prospect signed to a minor league deal for 3 years then a pro deal for 3 years would be eligible for RFA when he\'s 24. that\'s going to be interesting bidding.

Yes, the RFA for rookies will make bidding interesting. Wondering if I should add in compensation (draft pick) as an option ? ie) Once the bidding is done for the RFA, the team can match or accept a pick ?

Also, any thoughts on the Cap hit. 50% but 33% in the offseason ? I thought this would give guys a little more room to tweak their rosters in the offseason.
