Default Keeping Scott Neidermayer: yes or no?

do we know for sure whether he is retiring? a certain website has posted that he may return mid-season. if this IS true, is he worth keeping? or is it too much of a gamble?

If I had him in one of my keeper leagues I would try to trade him for ... anything, a draft pick preferably. Let someone else take the chance on him. Someone will most likely take a chance that he may play 1 or part of one more season, I however wouldn\'t be that guy.

Not a gamble I would take if I could get anything reasonable for him in trade. Neids talked about retiring because he wants to. Once you talk about it seriously then you might as well do it because your mind is pretty much there so take your body too.

If you have a chance to win this year : keep him !

If you\'re not even close : trade him for a bag of peanuts !

I am keeping him until he officially announces his retirement. I wouldn\'t get anything good for him in a trade (if anything at all) but keeping him could pay off huge.
If it is a roster spot you are talking about ask yourself who you would rather want a chance at Neidermayer or another lesser defenceman (who it is depends on your league)?

Bang on reeveta. I\'m lucky as I don\'t have to make a decision on whom I\'m protecting until our draft day in late Sep. Hopefully, he\'ll have made his decision by then...

Well according to TSN.. he is now saying \"it\'s a possibility\" that he won\'t retire. Anaheim is supposed to know by this weekend?
Do they have the cap room and if so how much if he comes back??

They would have just over 1.2 million in cap space if he does come back. Otherwise they would have 8 million to spend elsewhere.

Well it looks a lot better as far as keeping him goes now. Either way I think he\'s worth the risk unless you have a group of keepers that rank ahead of him which is unlikely.
