Well I don\'t know this player \"Mulligan\" but do you think I could get him for Pitkanen?
That year was my first in fantasy anything and it was certainly a learning experience. I did some good things too - picked up Cheechoo on the day of the big trade.

Not too sure who I dropped - must be repressing the memory - but I remember putting Eric Staal on waivers not once but twice his rookie year.

I chose Jimmy Carter over Steve Yzerman one year. It was the season Carter was traded to Edmonton and Yzerman was coming off a serious knee injury. This was the year Bernie Nichols, Rob Brown, Paul Coffey, etc, all exploded (and I had them all) and Jimmy Carter did get me 100 points. However, Yzerman finished with 155 points. I ended up winning $150. If I had taken Yzerman over Carter I would have won $5,000.

Last year I drafted Ray Whitney in the final round of a single-season pool, then dropped him prior to opening day in favour of Nils Ekman (a potential Crosby winger, even Ekman, was too tempting for me). Whitney finished with 83 points, Ekman with 15 (and not on my roster, obviously).
Fortunately, someone dropped Lundqvist in December and I rode him and Kipper to victory in the pool. |

I know this thread is pretty much dead but at the end of 05/06 I had Ryan Whitney and dint protect him as one of my 10 keeper spots for 06/07. In all fairness I protected Briere, Spezza, Marleau, Richards, Kovalchuk, Heatley, Zubov (this is where i should have kept ryan whitney), Bouwmeester, Lundqvist, Miller and Nagy (this would be the other spot I could have kept Whitney). OOPS my bad.
