DL - I\'m going with team A.
It\'s not as glamorous as B but solid.

The goalies do it for me with a bunch of rotisserie categories to feast on.

We had a guy set league records in our rotisserie last year for goals, assists, total points. We had the same % of goalie categories. With 2 average goalies that equated to about 4th place.

Ok so some major moves have been made involving 2 of the 3 teams here, so I thought I\'d update to see if it changes anything.

Team A:
C: H. Sedin, Kopitar, E. Staal
LW: D. Sedin, Huselius, Brunette, Vanek
RW: Iginla
D; Visnovsky
G: Brodeur, Luongo

Team B:
C: Crosby, J. Staal, Kessel
LW: Ovechkin, Heatley
RW: Jagr
D: Ry. Whitney, Phaneuf
G: Fleury

Team C:
C: Marleau, O. Jokinen, Spezza
LW: Kovalchuk, Cammalleri, Tanguay
RW: Radulov, Afinogenov
D: Bouwmeester, Campbell
G: Kiprusoff, Lundqvist

What do you think? Who wins now? I think Team B has the future all wrapped up.

I must say Team B looks insane. Crosby and Ovechkin?! Although TEam A looks pretty decent, I would have to go with Team B.

You have 4 of the top 10 scorers (Crosby, Ovechkin, Heatley, Jagr), probably 2 of the best defenceman, and an all-star goaltender that is still very young.

Going against the grain here but Team C has depth with the 3rd and 4th positional players dominanting the other teams. The goaltending is solid too. I think team C will win. It\'s hard not to pick Sid, AO and Heater but the goaltending is weak and depth is weak.

Team C has Spezza as the third C, Tanguay as the 3rd W and 2 solid goalies.

Default Re:Which team is better?

To me, there are two answers here.

If I was given the choice of one of these teams to take over and attempt to win a pool this season, I would choose Team C. If the league values goaltending stats at all, I think that could overcome Team B\'s top-end offensive talent.

If you gave me the choice of one of these teams to take over in a stable, long-term keeper with mature owners, I would choose Team B. Having Crosby, Ovechkin, Heatley, Whitney, and Fleury means that as long as I build the rest of my team soundly, I could be very difficult to defeat.

I hope this doesn\'t sound like a cop-out answer, but I think it speaks to a classic issue in evaluating keeper-league teams. This season, or the future?

Personally, I like team C the best. Yeah, team B has the big names and that is huge, but what if one of the top guys (i.e. Crosby, Ovvy, or Fluery) go down with an injury for an extended period. The injury bug is especially dangerous at the goalie position for team B as there does not appear to have someone to step right in. It is not as though Team C is exactly old farts either.

Yeah Crosby pots 150, Ovy 125...but with Jokinen, Marleau and Spezza each getting 85-90 it makes up for the difference. I know that this is not everyone, but the depth of Team C and the goalies are the clincher in my mind.

There should be some good battles between teams B and C in the coming seasons. Team A is no slouch, but is at a slight disadvantage in my mind.
