Hello Angus:
Following up with your previous comments of June 28 when you were asked if he was still the franchise goaltender. You responded that St. Louis would continue to bring him along slowly. With Sanford now being out and Legace being the starter, who would you consider to be the likely backup to Legace? I realize that Bacashihua is older by 3 or 4 years but everything that I have read suggests that Schwarz outplayed Bacashihua last year. Do you consider that there could be a \'camp battle\' between Bacashihua and Schwarz for the backup spot or is it Bacashihua\'s, to lose, with he being the future starter? Thanks |

Bacashihua was given a one-way deal, so the only way he loses the backup is if he gets hurt.

yup. Schwarz will be given at least another year or two to develop in the AHL.

Schwarz pro #\'s have been average....VERY average. I think he will be a bust. Actually, because he is MY goalie of the future on my fantasy squad, I KNOW he will be a bust!
I thing Bishop will blow past him on the depth chart this season... |
