Gabo 2.00 + 10th over all pick
for 1st overall pick Vrbata .10 C. Backman .15 Beauchimin .50 Upshall .15 We have a 35 player team with a $33 cap. I\'m not crazy about trading the 1st overall pick, but I have the extra players to do it. Obviously, the injury bug is terrifying me, but.... Well, what do you think boys? |

Personally, I would be offended if somebody offered me that trade for Gaborik. It\'s up to you but my opinion is the other guy runs away with this easy if you do it. Even if Gaborik plays 70 games, he\'d still tear it up. And if he\'s healthy all year, easy 100 point player. Unless you have someone EXTREMELY good in the draft that can compare to Gaborik.

Hello,
I agree with smack1919 He is not worth the ulcers you will have when he goes down. I would never trade a firts pic for a band aid boy. a 80 point player is easy to find in this years draft and he will be by far more valueable then Gabo will ever be. Im trying get Gaborik for cheap and when i mean cheap i really mean cheap like a Ryder type of cheap, because at the end of season ryder will give you is 82 games and his potential is about 72 points, with Gabo you never know. this is my opinion THAnks MDM |

I would not say that you made a steal, but you at least made a good trade. I would not lose much sleep over the players you let go. For sure the injury factor is scary, but Gaborik could have come back earlier last year but prefered to sacrifice more time to heal better. Hopefully, he will stay healthy for you. I think it was worth the 1st overall pick. 2 full healthy seasons would be enough to justify the trade.

Sorry, I don\'t think I was clear in my first one and I didn\'t read it too carefully (wings and beer = that post). I\'ll be simple, since you\'re getting Gaborik DO IT!!!! Without a shadow of a doubt. Please.

I wouldn\'t trade my 1st overall pick without anything else for the biggest band-aid boy of them all. The only way in heck this trade is worth it is if the 1st overall is out and the price of Gaborik is whole lot less than $2 mllion in a $33 million cap. Look at the history and he\'s averaged 64 points in the last 5 years. It\'s consistent, just look it up. Remember points per game mean squat in almost every pool imaginable!
