In my keeper pool you can protect 10. New team in league just inherited CROSBY and a bidding war has started as he has put him on the trade market.Previous owner wouldnt budge. Anyways here is what he is asking me for:

.......................Who wouldn\'t want CROSBY, what do think his ceiling will be. Would you make this trade? I am hesitant to give up on BACKSTROM too. am I silly oor should I try to replace him with Schremp in the deal.

It is a lot, but I would do it and not look back.

Once you have Crosby on your team you have one position you won\'t have to worry about for 10 years minimum. If you can get Backstrom out of the deal then it would be preferable but if not, oh well. The fact that you can only protect 10 means you are not really giving up that much because you get to keep 3 players you would have otherwise have to let go.

I hear ya. Defence are such a premium in the league. But crosby being 20-30 points ahead of the next guy in that position is huge

Try to give him Schremp instead of Backstrom and if he won\'t do it ... make the deal anyway. Crosby will be the best player in the NHL for a long time.

If I was the owner with Crosby I\'d be asking for something along the lines of Kovalchuk, Datsyuk, Gonchar, Fleury, and your 1st.

I recently aquired Crosby for Heatley and Hossa, a strong price but you arent going to get Crosby without overpaying, or at least overpaying in the short term.
