Pick up HEMSKY...

Rivet will get more points then NEIDERMAYER

In a keeper if SCHREMP and HEMSKY click down the road your laughing. Not ot mention COGLIANO, POULIOT. Hemsky is young enough he bound to click with someone. Who knows someone might even teach him to shoot. Then your looking at 90-100 points

wow, i am getting more and more confused as this thread goes on, So it seems like the consensus hear is to go ahead and trade away Neidermayer/Brown for Hemsky and then just get any defenceman basically to fill out my emtpy keeper spot.

And i guess let Naslund/Erat go into the FA pool. Still, i gave up a 4th round pick for him in a deal that i got e.staal (e.staal/naslund for 2nd/4th round pick)... grr soo regret taking naslund

From what you\'re saying you have to keep 2C/2LW/2RW/4D correct?

If that\'s the case then all you can do is try and get the best guys you can at the slots you have. If each team only has 2 LW spots that means that only the top 20 or so LWs are going to be kept? Do you feel that Naslund or Erat are in the top 20?

What you\'re doing is feeling bad about something you have no control over. You have a good team, but the keeper pool in your league is shallow enough that you have to drop decent guys.

You get to a point where everyone\'s got such good players that Hemsky/Erat/Naslund isn\'t going to make a guy want to give up Thomas Vanek because there\'s not an extra LW spot where an Erat or Naslund could be stashed.

It\'s just a function of supply and demand.

What you really need to do is get the league to not mandate the number of players who are kept at each position, maybe allowing for a limit on the # of goaltenders who can be kept. That way, the guys you keep can have a better reflection on your team as opposed to some arbitrary restriction.

And I speak of this from experience, we were going to be doing keepers like that after the first season of the main league I ran and it quickly became apparent that it was ridiculous. We went to just a set # of keepers with a limit on how many goaltenders who can be kept. Some guys keep 4D, some keep 1D. It all depends on the team.

So, I\'m rambling, and I\'m sorry. But I don\'t know what else you can really do.

Hitmen you have a wonderful way of stating this - yes I believe Rivet will score more than Neids this year. Essentially the trade is for Brown vs Hemsky. I like it alot.
