Default Is Mike York worth holding on to?

Hi all hockey fans,

I am in a keeper league and was wondering if I should let York go. He is now going to possibly have more ice time with Phoenix since he will be a top 6 forward with that team. Remember that Yanik Perreault had the chance to really blossom in that situation last year in Phoenix which rewarded him to go to the all-star game for the first time in his career.

OK, I know, York is not Perreault, but who knows!

Thanks for your feedback in advance!B)

I would say no, he seemed too slow and lazy with the Islanders and Flyers over the last couple of seasons.

Well Saku that all depends on who else you have that you might protect - I really don\'t see York as a keeper in most leagues so doubt he really is in yours.

However the old caveat is still there - he could surprise alot of folks if he decides to use his god-given talent in a focused and energetic manner - I doubt that will be found in his new situation.

Unless you really have no better options I wouldn\'t think much more about protecting him.

Mike York is an average/below-average player on the worst team in the NHL. If you really want him, let him go and take him back in your league\'s free agency market when the season will start.:P

Meh, I wouldn\'t bother with him. I\'m sure you can find better.

Last year the guy came to camp overweighted and in bad shape. Considering it was a contract year for him, it tells you a lot of his character.
