Default St-Louis or Savard

Hy everyone,
I know it\'s a tough one, but if you really have to choose who would you prefer to have.
I know that Dobber rnak them pretty equal and that there prediction are also close 91 St-Louis and 95 Savard.

So who would you prefer in a keeper league, with 1 point for goal and assist, with no position.

And why do you think Dobber drop St-Louis from 102 points last year to 91 this year.

as much as i don\'t care for him i think i\'d go with St.Louis.

savard- dobber had pointed out in his guide that even tho he has put up consistant totals for 2 seperate teams when murray went down with injury savards production dropped. almost seems if he doesn\'t have a sniper he\'s not as good. don\'t like when a player is dependant on others to score points. he\'s also got a new coach and i\'m sure the coach won\'t be preaching all out offense, this team won\'t look like the pens or sabres but more like the devils i\'d think and that don\'t go well for the point totals of players.

st.louis- not a big fan of his. he had the bad year which leads me to believe he cud be up or he cud be down, who knows. what i do know is he\'s gonna be playing with vinny or richards and he can score with either one so as long as they\'re all together he seems to be a lot safer pick. what i think anyway. GL hope it helps.

My first thought was Savard. I thought Savard was much younger than St.Louis. 30 vs 32 isn\'t as big a gap as I initially thought.

St.Louis has better linemates and is one of the top three forwards in ice time every year (thanks coach!).

This one is close, but I see St.Louis outpointing Savard for the next 2-3 years. I\'d keep St.Louis over Savard, but barely!

As for why Dobber dropped St.Louis to 91 pts, I think it\'s in his formula he uses. I too see a small drop off for St.Louis, but he should still be between 95-100 pts.

I know Dobber has ranked Savard above St.Louis but I am going to have to take St.Louis. Like Flyer said he plays with Lecavalier and whoever else is lucky enough. He\'s a sniper, I would take \"mighty mouse\"..

Once again Savard is gettin no respect. I give the Celly guarantee (not worth much unless u are betting on me passing out when drinking JD:S ) that Savard will outpoint St. Louis this year by 10 points...if both stay healthy. Boston is an up and coming team whereas I see Tampa going down the tubes in the next couple of years.

This all depends on wether your counting just points or as well as +/-,PIM,PPG etc..

Savard is one of the very few players who can hit 100pts and still hit 100 PIM. His +/- is going to get better as much as I hate those bruins.

I\'ve never been a fan of St-louis but if this is a just points league then he might be the better choice but I\'d still go with Savard, for me just a safer choice.

I think Savard is the more consistent player. He is a potential 100 pt /100 PIM player which is great. I believe his +/- will be a lot better than last years as the team has a full season under their belt together and Fernendez should provide much better goaltending that is also more consistent. He should once again be good for 90-100 points.

St Louis has better trade value than Savard and when they are close in everything else (points, age), take the guy that can get you more in return from a trade. Playing with Vinny keeps his stock high... now when Vinny bolts to the habs in a few years, St Louis will be in for a huge let down.
