Default Who won this trade?

I did this trade about a month after the seasons end and I would like to know what you guys think about it. I am in dynasty league in which all players are carried over season to season with a 23 man roster and a 20 man minor league roster.

We also have a salary cap so take that into consideration.

I gave:

Kristen Hueselius
Brian McCabe
Devin Setoguchi

for

Cam Barker
Rob Schremp
Al Montoya
Phil Kessel

Thanks in advance.

You got some really good future players but you gave up a lot of players that can rack up some pool points now. If Montoya becomes a \"luongo-like\" goalie within 2 years and Barker becomes a 50 point/season d then you took a huge risk.

I\'d much rather have McCabe and Huselius than Barker and Kessel.

I think you gave up quite a bit for young players. McCabe and Huselius are several years away from being finished. Too early to tell on Setoguchi, Schremp or Montoya. They may never be NHL\'ers.

I hope it works out for you.

Looks like you got Kessel and a lot of projects, plus a decent goalie of the future, for some here and now players. Are you rebuilding? If so, this is a good step. Are you very very deep and you are just looking to unload some extra baggage? If so, again a good move.

If you don\'t have a lot of depth and are hoping to win in the next two years, then this is not the move to make.

I\'m assuming it\'s the basic fantasy categories...

Barker seems to be quite injury prone and Schremp could be a star or another Jason Bonsignore...but my hunch is that in four years you will have won this deal handily. Probably not much before that though...

Default Re:Who won this trade?

Well just to give you guys an idea of my team

Mind you that Every team in the league is very close to ther cap now and Im barely made it under and we all know how much McCabe makes.

My 1st team d-men right now are:

Pronger
Roszival
Tyutin
Corvo
Michalek
Poti

I figured I can take the hit and I am rebuilding as I have some really good young guys like

J. Jokinen
Prucha
Nash
Cherepanov
Kessel
Schremp
Sanguinetti
Montoya
Mayorov
Edler
Barker
Hickey
Blum
Bochenski
Varlamov
Anisimov
Olesz
Paille
Jordan Staal to name a few
These look even better when compared to the other minor legue squads in my league.

My star players are also young as I have guys like Olli Jokinen Datsyuk...

Any new thoughts?

And as far as Huselius goes I had pciked him in the last round of our draft and I figured I\'d sell high and you can imagine how happy I was when Keenan went to Calgary.

If you were forced to make this move in order to get under the cap, why not?

However, you won\'t know if you won this trade for a while...at the moment, obviously, your trading partner has the edge...
